The Third Band of IMAF

For the third band of IMAF, the committee boldly explored where no committee has gone before and returned with Five Year Mission. Five Year Mission’s um, mission, is to write a song for every episode of Star Trek. For some, that may seem like a goofy concept. But it’s not a goof to the band. “What I love about it the most is that we are totally serious about the concept,” says leader (Captain Kirk-like figure?) Mike Rittenhouse on the band’s very cool website. (You’d expect nothing less.) “We love this project and hold it to the absolute highest standards.” Composed of veterans from the Indy music scene, Five Year Mission set their phasers to stun at IMAF 2012. Expect them to put a Vulcan death grip on their set this year.
