Mike Cook is an Indianapolis Native with big ambitions. He is a retired business man with an amazing musical talent. Playing jazz gigs to make a living as a young man, Cook had a brief hiatus from his music until he met up with an old friend who helped him rekindle that passion. Cook was featured on WICR’s New Music at Noon program in Early January. His debut album Leftover Dreams got great feedback and left the audience craving for more. I chat with him about where the idea for Leftover Dreams came from, how his music career began, what he’s doing now and what his plans for the future are.
