It's Piano Week

You may not have known it, but this week is the final showdown between five world-class pianists vying for the 2013 American Pianist Association's Classical Fellowship Award.  $50,000 cash and two years of career assistance, this award would be a dream-come-true for any of these up and coming pianists. Every night this week, the finalist will perform concerts with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. Saturday night is the Gala Finals with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra where the winner will be announced. Tune into WFYI 90.1 at noon each day this week to hear the finalists play live on air. And if hearing pianos wasn't enough, take a walk around Monument Circle to see piano pARTS: eight public art installations from local artists who have been given the challenge to use a piano as their canvas.

Meet the Classical Fellow Finalists:

Claire Huangci

Sean Chen

Sara Daneshpour

Andrew Staupe

Eric Zuber
