iPads on Pointe 

Did you miss out on a childhood dream to dance? Did your parents refuse to pay for your tap shoes? Or did basketball surpass ballet in your preteen years? If you live with any regrets that you missed your chance to the 21st century's Martha Graham or George Balanchine, there's an app just for you, which we found via FastCo.Design.

The app, Passe-Partout, was created by designer Abbott Miller of Pentagram. He worked with New York City Ballet's emerging choreographer Justin Peck and composer Aaron Severini on the project for performing arts organization 2wice. The app allows users to break the eight pieces of one-minute dance compositions into new parts and re-create them into a new work. Dancers are displayed in layers, allowing anyone to group and move them around as they dance on the screen. It's Miller's third dance-focused project for 2wice, all of which aim to make dance a bit more available to a broad audience.
