Ed Funk Memorial Show

Ed Funk, who passed away in August 2013, is remembered for both his role in cultivating Indianapolis' art community and his work with Dolphin Papers. But he was also an active artist himself for the past four decades. To celebrate Funk's impact and life, his friends, family and cultural colleagues will gather today for the opening of a one-week show of his final works, In Memoriam: The Artwork of Ed Funk at Gallery 924.

The reception takes place today from 3 to 6 p.m. at Gallery 924. Daniel Paquette and Matthew Askren will provide live music for this afternoon's event. The show will be up through next Friday, July 25.

Read remembrances of Ed Funk from local artists and thoughts on his impact from former Sky Blue Blogger and Indiana State Museum Chief Fine Arts Curator Mark Ruschman.
