Conversation with a Curator

In 1895, in a small Indianapolis apartment, Ulysses G. Leedy began making drums. Not even two decades later, Leedy drums were setting new standards in quality and innovation for percussion building, and Leedy was opening the largest drum factory in the world. Didn't know we had such a reverberating note in the history of music? The Rhythm Discovery Center, a fully-interactive drum museum nestled in the heart of downtown, thought you should know and so they have recently open a new exhibit to honor Leedy and Indianapolis' deep drum history. We talked with curator Heath Towson about the impact the company had on the city as well as what it took to put together this exhibition.
