Re: “What’s Indy’s Brand?

I think Indy's "brand" is well established although it might not be as "in your face" as what you experienced in Music City. Indy, and central Indiana by extension, has the envious advantage over many metros due to our pretty universally accepted high quality of life. It seems every time I turn around anymore, Indy or Carmel or Fishers or Avon/Plainfield is topping the chart of some respectable publication's list of the best places to live in America.

Sure, we are blessed with good geography, we have a great sports tradition, great museums and aspiring local arts scene, storied history as one of jazz music's hippest spots while also a city who can boast one of only a handful of full-time symphony orchestras. I could go on and on, but in my mind it's not about any one or collection of great amenities. It's that we are so great at sharing them. It's not a new idea, really. Ask the NFL or any one of the thousands of event organizers or millions of attendees, our brand is hospitality... Hoosier hospitality. That's our thing.
