TTK: Guitars & Recreation

TTKs are Sky Blue Window's 'Things to Know,' events, ideas and cultural creations that we think are worthy of your time and attention.

Local online archivists and music enthusiasts from Musical Family Tree are teaming up with an unlikely musical partner this summer - Indy Parks & Recreation. The website, managed by Indianapolis-based web design company SmallBox, will curate a six-concert series "Listen Local" at Broad Ripple Park. The series kicks off on Friday, May 24th with a triple bill - Margot & The Nuclear So and So's, Gentleman Caller and Everything, Now!

In addition to booking these acts, Musical Family Tree is kicking it Radiohead-2007 style - in other words, these concerts are "pay what you want" and all funds that they generate will support Indy Parks.
