Listen up, cosplayers. You only have about two and a half weeks to get your costumes ready (and altered to perfection, if need be), makeup and copies of the various comics you wish to have autographed at the Indiana Comic Con.
It's coming up March 14 -16 at the Indianapolis Convention Center. Those of you (you know who you are) whose costumes are revealing, (looking at you, slave Leia), now is the time to cut back on those carbs and kick-start the cardio workout. You can't suck in the gut for three days, and spandex is unforgiving. However, if you choose your costume wisely, think: Sam Tarly, you can indulge all you want. That cape makes a handy cover up.
For additional info on celebrity attendees, such as Maisie Williams (you may know her as Arya Stark) of Game of Thrones, and guest creators, such as Arthur Suydan of The Walking Dead comic's fame or George Perez of Avengers and Teen Titans fame, go to IndianaComicCon.org. And be sure to check back here at Sky Blue Window March 13th for a full-on report by our resident nerd, (and production manager) Mike Potter.
Meanwhile, as you're awaiting your eBay and Etsy deliveries of apparel and books, here's some geeky eye candy the gang at Mythbusters took at the mother of all Comic Cons in San Diego last year:
Costumed gamers and game makers come together for Gen Con Indy 2015, which has attracted nearly 60,000 visitors to the city as a highlight for the $880 million international hobby game business. Its cosplay, camaraderie and creative culture drew Sky Blue Window to the scene like a moth to a flame. If you can't make it there before it ends Sunday, take a peek at the fun we found.
