Art vs. Art Paint Day

Before the Wheel of Death, raucous audience, noisemakers and last minute art-saving purchases that are Art vs. Art's signatures, the artists must paint. On September 6, local artists gathered at Garfield Park Arts Center, were given a very limited selection of supplies, and created works that will battle it out at Art vs. Art's September 26 Main Event at the Vogue.

To find out what happens before Primary Colours' annual event and what goes into making the pieces that will face possible death -- or that may win a $4,000 grand prize -- photographer Whitney Walker stopped by the Paint Day event. Check out her event slideshow below.
