A Monumental Canvas

The curtains will drop in Butler University's Clowes Hall on Sunday, Aug. 17th. This time it won't be on its historic stage, but instead in its massive lobby. Artist Phil O'Malley will reveal his four-story painted canvas to the public, Clowes' Monumental Wall Project.

The latest in a collection of paintings titled The Deep Down Series, O'Malley challenges himself to dig deep emotionally as he brings his artistic vision to life. In this video, the painter talks about the origin of the project and gives the viewers a taste of what is to come.
